Participating Classes: Per. 1, Per. 2, & Per. 3

The YCJUSD Pre-Festival serves to give students a practice run of what they will experience at the official festivals we will attend in March. Every band in the district will be participating in this event throughout the evening. Students will perform for a panel of judges who will be providing written and recorded feedback while listening and following along. Their comments will be used to help us polish our festival set. Please note that Per.3 Colt Band will be performing 25 minutes earlier than the notification letter stated (We now warm-up at 4:25pm and perform at 4:50pm). A parentsquare message was sent out about this on 1/26/26.

MVMS Students will be required to watch one other ensemble and complete a listening guide. It needs to be completed and turned in that evening before they leave. They are welcome to listen and write about any group so long as it does not conflict with their warm-up/performance time.
