Week of 9/29/25

All Classes - Shirt Update: Students will receive their shirts this week in class.

Honor Band - The San Bernardino County Music Educators Association hosts an annual honor band. 7th & 8th grade students are able to audition for a seat. MVMS has had the most students accepted for 5 of the past 6 years, and we would like to push to continue that precedent. We will be starting afterschool practices to help students prepare after the fall concert.

Congratulations to our Mustang Band and Concert Choir!

The Mustang Band will be performing at a CMEA All-State Festival hosted at Riverside City College on Saturday, 4/18/26. In order to qualify, an ensemble needs to receive “Superior” rating from all 3 stage judges and the sight reading judge at a Southern California Regional level festival. Then, they must submit an application including scans of the written judges sheets as well as recordings. The MVMS Mustang Band is one of only 16 ensembles selected to participate at this event.

The Concert Choir will be participating in a recording session at a Disney Studio on Thursday, 5/21/26. Students will work with Disney studio staff to record songs from different scenes to various movies. Middle school groups are required to submit an application/recordings in order to be considered for this event.
